Kent State Named Among Best Global Universities by US News & World Report

5XÉçÇø has been named one of the Best Global Universities by U.S. News & World Report for 2026-2027, the highest-ranked public university in northern Ohio on the list. The recognition reflects Kent State’s global research impact, international student enrollment, education-abroad programs and partnerships spanning more than 60 countries.

Meet Adelynn Prushing, originally from Richmond, Texas, a Kent State senior fashion design major, graduating this upcoming May 2026. Adelynn is a very active student on campus and is a member of Kent State’s Chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta and the Fashion Student Organization (FSO), as well as an officer for the Identity Project.

Sophia Macro, a fashion design major with a minor in entrepreneurship for the arts, is preparing to graduate in the upcoming weeks.  During her time at Kent over the past four years, she has become an active player on the women’s rugby team and a member of Kent State’s SURVIVOR student organization, while also  working for Kent State Student Media in analytics.
