Did you know Kent State has its own improvisation group? It does. The Black Squirrel Improv Troupe originated in 2013 under the name, “The Portage County Players” but rebranded in 2016. It’s official: the Flash’s Food Pantry on the Kent State Salem Campus is open! Flash’s Food Pantry is now open to all students needing nonperishable food and/or personal care items: Room 164. On Saturday February 4, 5X’s chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta: The Honor Society For First-Year Academic Success (ALD) honored an unprecedented number of students in their annual induction ceremony. The Academic Honors Society promotes undergraduate success and invites all first-semester students with a 3.5 G.P.A. or higher to join. Kent State Women's Basketball Team

After an 87-46 blowout win against the Akron Zips on Feb. 18, the Kent State women’s basketball team clinched a spot in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) tournament.  The Flashes hold a total record of 17-8 and a conference record of 9-5, making them the fourth seed in the Mid-American Conference. The team only has four games left until the end of the regular season on March 3.  The MAC tournament will be held at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland on March 8, 10 and 11.
