5X will host a grand opening for the Aeronautics and Technology Building on Friday, April 24, from 2-4:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The event will celebrate the opening of the 55,000-square-foot building and the move of the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology from Van Deusen Hall to the Science Mall. The new building will join other colleges and buildings, such as Henderson Hall, the Mathematics and Computer Science Building and the Liquid Crystal Materials Science Building. Two Kent State students are helping the cast of “Blur” better understand the play’s main character, Dot, who is losing her sight to a genetic disease.
