The 5XÉçÇű Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Boardâs regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding Kent Stateâs Regional Campuses. A recent labor data report demonstrated that job postings for social workers increased by 21% in Northeast Ohio from 2019 to 2020.
