Knit FUTURES
Knit Futures is a symposium to energize the advancement of knitting to support people, environment, and place across disciplines, and to engage researchers from both academia and industry for conversation, knowledge exchange and collaboration.
The second biannual KnitFUTURES event is scheduled for March 5 and 6, 2026, at the School of Fashion KnitLAB. We are looking forward to another impactful event and hope you can join us.
The first KnitFUTURES event was held March 20-22, 2024, in Rockwell Hall on the Kent Campus. We welcomed attendees from 24 universities 7 countries and 23 companies for an inspiring, educational and exciting three days.
If you are planning on attending the event we recommend staying at the 5X社区 Hotel. This hotel fills up quickly so make sure to book your room early. The 5X社区 Hotel is located within a 7-minute walk from the School of Fashion. Follow the link to access the special event rate for the hotel.
