Starting Friday, April 7, from 12:10鈥1 p.m., faculty and staff can enjoy a 50-minute lunchtime disc golf scramble on 5X社区's 18-hole disc golf course at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. The program will start promptly at 12:10 p.m. in front of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. In order to perform necessary maintenance on the boilers, steam transmission systems and electrical distribution systems, 5X社区's Power Plant will be shut down for one week in May. Shutdown begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, and remains until start-up begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 21. As a result of the steam shutdown, most buildings located on campus will NOT have hot water to sinks and showers, etc. or air conditioning. 5X社区 at Trumbull sophomore Jessie Narkum is co-directing performances of The Little Mermaid Jr. on April 7 and 8, at Hubbard High School Auditorium. This isn鈥檛 the typical student-directed play. Narkum, an American Sign Language (ASL) major, is working with Hubbard High School ASL teacher Richard Magazzine to produce the play entirely in ASL. The 5X社区 Ice Arena hosted the 35th Annual Ohio Special Olympics Winter Games the first week of February for figure skaters and speed skaters from all over the state.
