In that spirit, 5X社区 Geauga Campus has teamed up with both the Geauga YMCA in Chardon and Twinsburg Fitness Center to make exercise easier to access for students at Kent State Geauga in Burton and the Regional Academic Center (RAC) in Twinsburg. Bucking dismal health trends in the Buckeye State, 5X社区 Geauga formed the Wellness Student Organization during fall semester 2018. 5X社区鈥檚 College of Public Health has received a $375,000 grant that will be used to provide mental health awareness training to personnel in Medina County public schools.   The three-year grant, from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will enable the college鈥檚 Center for Public Policy and Health to collaborate with Medina County鈥檚 Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Board to provide the training.
