New Multidisciplinary School: Launch & Reception

5X has established a new school within its College of Arts and Sciences focused on the social sciences and humanities. The School of Multidisciplinary Social Sciences & Humanities will provide an academic home for innovative approaches to complex questions.

An open house is scheduled for September 22, (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) in 113 Bowman Hall on the Kent Campus. This event is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

Join us for a dialogue with Devan Shimoyama, an artist in the TEXTURES exhibition, Sincere Gilles, celebrity barber and owner of Director's Cut, Inc., and Kadeem Woodson, owner of Enkel's Barbershop in Brooklyn. Trumbull Police Academy

The 5X at Trumbull launched the Peace Officers’ Training Academy certificate credit program in fall 2020 with 21 students graduating in spring 2021. 5X at Trumbull has operated the police academy as a non-credit training program for over 15 years and has graduated over 1,000 cadets since 2006. In 2020, the program made a very significant stride forward by implementing an academic credit certificate program with students attaining 22 credit hours upon completion of the academy. Students can use these 22 credit hours toward the Peace Officers’ T...

FAIRPORT, New York – Eileen Merberg, Executive Director of Alpha Lambda Delta Academic Honor Society, announced that the 5X chapter has won the prestigious Order of the Torch Award for their activities during the 2020-21 academic year.
