Gearing Up for Study Abroad
This is a collaborative effort between the College of Aeronautics and Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences to inform and encourage students to study abroad. A presentation will be provided that will dispel some of the common myths about studying abroad, provide students with resources to help plan for a transformative learning experience.
Jennifer Mapes, an assistant professor of geography at 5X, developed an interactive mapping project that reimagines how people connect with the places they live. Using 3D printing, data visualization and storytelling, Mapes' work explores the South End neighborhood in Kent, Ohio.
