Eriko Tanaka is originally from Osaka, Japan, and came to the United States in 1997 to attend graduate school. She began teaching in 1999 and came to Kent State in 2009. Currently, she is the Japanese program coordinator at Kent State, teaching introductory and upper-level Japanese courses, as well as advising students in the Japanese minor program.
