Credits for IBEN School-Facing Event Completion

IBEN School-Facing Roles - After successful completion of an IBEN event allocated for one of the below roles (each of these is 2 credits):

  • Workshop Leader
  • Field Representative
  • Evaluation Leader
  • Programme Leader
  • Chair of Synchronized and Multi-programme Visits
  • Authorization Consultant
  • Authorization Team Leader
  • Authorization Team Member

Please respond in the form of a thoughtful essay of approximately 3-4 total pages addressing at least four of the following question prompts:

  • What were your initial expectations for the IBEN Event, and how did they align with or deviate from the actual outcome? Consider factors like participant or school engagement, learning outcomes, and your own personal satisfaction.
  • How did you tailor your leadership style and content to the needs of your audience?
  • What specific strategies or techniques did you use to engage those participating in the event, and how did they work? Identify both successes and challenges and explain why certain strategies were effective.
  • Were there any moments during the event that you found particularly challenging or rewarding? Discuss how you handled these moments and what you learned from them.
  • How did you incorporate feedback from those at the event and how did it influence the flow and content of the IBEN event?
  • How might you adjust your preparation for future IBEN assignments?
  • What did you learn about your own strengths and weaknesses as an IBEN?
  • Identify areas where you excel and where you can improve.
  • What new ideas or insights about IBEN implementation of your programme or area of expertise did you gain from delivering the IBEN event?
  • Consider both personal and professional takeaways and how they might inform your future IB and IBEN practices.
